Muon Telescope Scintillator (TCM)

It is installed in the Southern Regional Center, in São Martinho da Serra/RS. It is able to observe secondary cosmic rays in various directions, having been designed for operation in conjunction with a similar telescope installed in Japan (Nagoya). Joint observations allow the detection of solar-interplanetary disturbances up to 10 hours before his arrival on Earth, allowing prediction of the occurrence of geomagnetic storms. The TCM is 80% complete, since being able to provide data for the program.
